Falling Down the Rabbit Hole

With the upcoming release of Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland I was reminded how much I love the orginal illustrations by John Tenniel. To me these black and white prints are the epitome of cool, if I wasn't so wussy about it I would get a tattoo of one. seriously.

Golden Website Nugget

I love finding websites that entertain me for hours, where I want to purchase almost everything I see. I ran into this when I discovered the Charm and Chain website. Everything on this jewelry store's website is absolutely gorgeous, and while considerably out of my price range, I can dream and drool over them all I want. And yes, I seem to be on a bit of a jewelry kick. Just go with it. Here are some of the things on my wish list....

Dreaming About Summer...

Now that we've gotten more piles of snow my brain has shifted gears and begun dreaming about summer weather as a coping mechanism. Instead of the mountains of warm clothes I pack on and the hot soup I consume I dream of wearing flowy tops and sandals and sucking on a popsicle. Oh warm weather, come soon!!

This patchwork tunic from Anthropologie is a bit funky and I would normally never pick it up off the rack but the material feels wonderful and flows beautifuly (I tried it on in store). I just picked it up on ebay for half the price, score Rach. Available here.

And yes, my clothing choices could all easily double for maternity wear. It's called planning early. This is a recession after all.

I've been crushing on a pair of Toms for awhile now, I mean who doesn't love the concept behind them: for every pair purchased a child in need gets a pair of shoes!! Available here.

 

Really love these super comfy looking report flats from zappos.

My latest issue of Instyle says that stripes are making a big comeback for spring, but I wasn't ever really aware that they'd made a big fall?? Either way this top hits both my qualifications: comfy and cute. Available over at Anthro again.

Stripes again I know. But I love this frock from urban, I also want to be able to use the word 'frock' as many times as possible while wearing said frock. Look thats three already! Available here.

Spot of Pretty

With Valentines Day looming (yuck) stores have started to abundantly supply valentines, cards, and material tokens of affection. Despite the fact that the holiday isn't my favorite, there are usually quit a few that manage to catch my eye and my heart and I fell in love with these adorable handkerchief cards from Bird & Banner found in their etsy shop and now at anthropologie.

Isn't this such a neat and unique idea for a card?!? I've already got an idea of who I'm going to send some to...
